According to a draft copy of the bill obtained exclusively by The Hill, the United States Congress would consider a bill prohibiting the use of COVID passports. Andy Biggs, the chair of the House Freedom Caucus, is a Republican from Arizona who is sponsoring the bill.
The “No Vaccine Passports Act” will “stipulate that federal agencies cannot issue uniform documents showing a person has received a COVID-19 vaccine, nor do they request evidence of a COVID-19 vaccine to enter federal grounds,” according to the bill.
The bill will be a response to states like New York, which has already begun introducing the Excelsior Pass mobile app.
Biggs told The Hill that “vaccine passports will not help our nation recover from COVID-19; instead, they will merely force more Big Brother surveillance on our society.”
Governor Ron DeSantis has already signed an executive order prohibiting the use of COVID passports in Florida.

DeSantis previously said, “We do not accept any vaccine passports in the state of Florida.” “It is absolutely unethical for either the government or the private sector to ask you to provide evidence of vaccination only to be eligible to engage in normal society.”
“Do you want the fox to keep an eye on the henhouse?” According to DeSantis. “Give me a break,” she says.
Governor Greg Abbott has also signed an executive order prohibiting them from entering state buildings or legal entities that receive funding from the state. Governor Tate Reeves has only confirmed his opposition to COVID passports so far.
According to the Washington Post, the Biden administration is considering a “COVID passport.” The White House recently denied publicly that it supports a federal COVID passport; however, companies with which the Biden administration has addressed the issue could adopt the vaccine verification scheme independently.
