Hunter Biden had a tense standoff with police in 2018 over his missing handgun, and he may have also broken the law. According to a Politico article released on Thursday, the Secret Service confronted the gun owner who sold Hunter Biden the.38 caliber pistol after the bizarre police incident.
Hunter Biden, Joe Biden’s uncle, was under surveillance by the Secret Service in 2018, despite the fact that he was not entitled to such safeguards. Hunter was dating Hallie, the wife of his partner, at the time. She had uncovered his handgun and dumped it in a trashbin near a local supermarket in Wilmington, Delaware, fearing he would use it to commit suicide.
Hunter Biden was enraged that Hallie had thrown his handgun in the garbage and ordered her to retrieve it. When she returned to retrieve the knife, it had already vanished. She dialed the store manager’s number.
When the FBI and local police arrived on the scene, the bizarre incident became more revealing. Hunter Biden was asked whether he had used the gun to commit a crime by a police officer. He allegedly became “extremely angry” and asked the officer if he was attempting to “get him insane.”
“Listen, it isn’t like that,” Hunter said when police asked if he was drunk or on drugs. I think she thinks I was trying to commit suicide.” According to the Daily Mail, he also called two Mexican shop owners “suspicious” and “possibly illegal.”
As the investigation progressed, police discovered the gun store where Hunter Biden had purchased the weapon.

According to two sources, one of whom has firsthand knowledge of the episode and the other was briefed by a Secret Service agent after the fact, Secret Service agents confronted the owner of the store where Hunter purchased the gun and demanded to take the paperwork surrounding the sale.
According to the two individuals, the gun store owner declined to include the paperwork because he believed the Secret Service officers tried to conceal Hunter’s possession of the missing gun in case it was used in a crime. The papers were later turned over to the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives, which regulates federal gun laws,” according to the article.
Hunter Biden’s revolver was discovered by a man who regularly dumpster dived near Janssen’s Market, where she chose to dispose of the weapon. He then handed it over to the authorities.
According to Politico, the problem is that the Secret Service insists it has no record of the incident. Via a spokesman, Joe Biden told the publication that he has “no knowledge” of any Secret Service involvement.
Politico obtained Hunter Biden’s weapons transaction record. It displayed a receipt for the gun from October 12, 2018.
Hunter Biden answered “no” to the question “Are you an illegal user of, or addicted to, marijuana or any other depressant, stimulant, narcotic medication, or other controlled substance?” on the FTR record. It is a crime to lie on a federal paper.
As Joe Biden searches for ways to introduce gun control to the entire world, he may want to start with something a little closer to home. How can a president rule an entire country if he can’t even control his own family members?
