Texas With a MAJOR Victory Against COVID Passports

Texas has declared war on COVID passports, a mobile method of vaccine monitoring that has gained momentum in New York and is being debated within the Biden administration.

Governor Greg Abbott of Texas signed an executive order barring them from entering the state on Tuesday.

“Every day, as more people receive the COVID vaccine, Texans return to normalcy. In reality, Texas will exceed 13 million doses administered this week. These vaccines help to minimize COVID transmission, hospitalizations, and deaths. But, as I’ve always said, these vaccinations are always optional and never forced,” the Republican added.

“No Texan should be forced to provide evidence of vaccination or disclose personal health details simply to go about their everyday lives….” We’ll keep vaccinating more Texans and protecting the public’s health. And we’ll do it without jeopardizing Texans’ personal liberties.”

According to the Federalist, Abbott also “forbade any ‘public or private agency’ that receives government funds, such as loans, grants, and contracts, from withholding service or entry to Texans who do not have evidence of inoculation.” This is essential: Due to “informed consent” laws and civil rights, state executives are weaponizing companies to infringe on rights that the state is obligated not to cross.

The Texas order notes that “no patient can be denied access to a facility funded completely or partly with public funds for failure to provide documentation about the consumer’s vaccination status for any COVID-19 vaccine.”

On Monday, a second Republican governor joined Florida Governor Ron DeSantis in rejecting so-called “COVID passports” that prove vaccination: Tate Reeves is the governor of Mississippi.

On CNN’s “State of the Union,” Reeves told Jake Tapper, “I don’t think it’s important, and I don’t think it’s a positive thing to do in America.”

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis signed an executive order on Friday prohibiting the use of COVID passports in the state. The governor has also encouraged the Republican-controlled Legislature to pass a bill dealing with “vaccine passports.”

DeSantis previously said, “We do not accept any vaccine passports in the state of Florida.” “It is absolutely unethical for either the government or the private sector to ask you to provide evidence of vaccination only to be eligible to engage in normal society.”
