The Final Scandal: New Sexual Harassment Accuser of Cuomo

Governor Andrew Cuomo has a new accuser of sexual assault. This takes the Governor of New York’s total to six.

“The woman had alleged that the governor sexually kissed her late last year during an encounter at the governor’s mansion, where she had been called to do work,” according to the Times Union.

The Times Union added, “On Tuesday, an official close to the matter confirmed to the Times Union that the new accusation had been made.” An aide said, “The governor’s office heard of the matter on Monday.”

“All complaints that we hear about directly or indirectly are immediately going to the prosecutors named by the AG,” said Beth Garvey, the governor’s acting counsel.

The website reported in the exclusive report that the sixth woman, whose name is being withheld by the Times Union because she could not be contacted for comment, is a member of the Executive Chamber staff.

The claim will be added to a growing list of former aides and other women who have accused the governor of sexual conduct and creating a “toxic” work climate.

A slew of sexual harassment accusers have come forward, alleging that the governor tried to kiss, grope, coax them into sexual favors, and even play strip poker with them.

Two more women came forward on Saturday. Karen Hinton, a former press aide, says Cuomo asked her to return to his “dimly lit” hotel room and tried to drag her back to him when she declined. Cuomo was a member of Clinton’s cabinet at the time of the alleged incident in 2000. Ana Liss, a former aide, claims Cuomo kissed her hand and cheeks, called her “sweetheart,” and even brushed her lower back on several occasions.

Cuomo allegedly developed a “hostile, toxic” workplace culture for decades, according to the two latest accusers. Lindsey Boylan and Charlotte Bennett, two other former Cuomo aides, had previously reported that the governor had engaged in shady conduct.

Another accuser, Anna Ruch, put a face to the insecurity that women feel when they are the victim of a powerful man. The governor was photographed pawing her face and making advances towards her in a public room.

Articles of impeachment against New York Governor Andrew Cuomo were filed on Monday. Democratic leaders of the New York state legislature had previously called for the governor’s resignation.
